Cutting-edge communication research between humans and robots: Examples made possible by 3D printing.
We spoke with Assistant Professor Hayashi from Toyohashi University of Technology, a member of the Japan Society of Robotics, who is conducting research on "Human-Robot Communication." This research involves building a system to observe and analyze small, unnoticed "social stimuli" exchanged between people in their daily interactions, and clarifying what happens when robots utilize these stimuli in actual urban environments.
