The SI-35i is an RS-232C to RS-422/485 converter that bidirectionally converts the RS-232C interface to half-duplex/full-duplex RS-422/485. Like the previous model SI-35, it supports both 2-wire half-duplex communication and 4-wire full-duplex communication through switch settings. Additionally, it features a high voltage resistance specification of 3000Vdc between signals, enhancing the protection of connected devices from high voltages such as insulation surges. It supports communication speeds of up to 1Mbps, and with RS-485 line monitoring and automatic control of the RS-485 driver, it enables communication with a reduced software processing burden on the RS-232 host device.
