It has helped enhance safety at the corners. The FF mirror can be installed at eye level, allowing blind spots to be naturally visible. (Nippon Steel Setouchi Works)
We would like to introduce the feedback from Nippon Steel Corporation, Setouchi Steel Works, who implemented the FF mirror corridor. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… The mirrors that were previously installed at blind corners were positioned too high, making it easy to overlook them. Therefore, we decided to install the FF mirrors, which provide a wide-angle view on a flat surface, at a lower height. This way, they naturally catch the eye (three locations with FT46). This has strengthened our safety measures. We are currently considering additional measures for other areas that require attention. When it comes to mirrors, most people probably think of mirrors that reflect only themselves (such as full-length mirrors, hand mirrors, or three-way mirrors). However, Komi's mirror is designed to observe the movements of other objects and people, as well as to show "consideration" for others. For example, one can check with the mirror to see if anyone is coming around a corner to avoid a collision, or to check if someone is trying to get on an elevator and wait for them... Komi's "considerate mirror" is useful all over the world, from convenience stores to airplanes.
