Since last year, we have been selecting lead-free materials and confirming their machinability through prototypes. We can also accommodate various machining processes, including peeling materials and knurling materials!
At Shiba EMU, we are responding to RoHS2 based on green procurement. Originally, brass materials were allowed to contain a certain amount of lead as they were exempted from the RoHS2 directive. However, discussions regarding the extension of this exemption have been ongoing since the end of last year, and depending on the outcome, it is said that the maximum allowable lead content in brass may soon be set at 0.1 wt% (1000 ppm). Therefore, since around July 2020, our company has been selecting lead-free materials and confirming their machinability and conducting prototypes. We can also accommodate various processing needs, such as machining peeling materials and knurling materials. If you are wondering, "I want to comply with RoHS, but what should I do?" please feel free to contact us. #BZ5A #C6801

Our company has been manufacturing custom-made machines since 1972. Custom-made machines, also known as special-order machines, are treated similarly to dedicated machines and custom machines. However, our concept of custom-made is that it reflects the customer's opinions and requests in every detail, including machines, parts, and ideas, so we also tackle very small themes.
