Fatigue analysis tool for predicting fatigue life and durability.
Altair HyperLife is a comprehensive durability analysis software. It is easy to operate and can directly read and utilize major FEA result files. By using HyperLife, which has a built-in material library, you can predict fatigue life in static analysis and transient response analysis, as seen in various industries. <Main Features of the Product> - A reliable fatigue analysis software that can quickly calculate damage and fatigue life. - Enables CAE-based fatigue assessment through an integrated durability analysis workflow. - Allows for the generation of material data based on a database of over 500 standard materials. - Equipped with a dedicated module that evaluates the fatigue strength of welded and non-welded components in accordance with numerous assessment methods and guidelines (compliant with FKM, EC3, DVS1612). - A solver-independent framework that interfaces with major FEA result data.

basic information
<Fatigue Analysis Methods> ◆ Stress-Life (SN) and Strain-Life (EN) Various mean stress correction theories can be used to evaluate uniaxial and multiaxial fatigue. In uniaxial fatigue evaluation, a large number of combination stresses can be used, while in multiaxial fatigue evaluation, the critical plane method can be applied. Strain-Life (EN): The Neuber rule can be used for uniaxial evaluation, and the Jiang-Sehitoglu plastic model (default) can be used for multiaxial evaluation. ◆ Safety Factor The safety factor can be calculated based on the Dang Van fatigue limit criterion, which is used to predict whether the material will fail under the entire load history. ◆ Weld Fatigue Weld fatigue for spot welding and seam welding can be evaluated. - Spot Welding The structural stress method can be applied to spot weld beads represented by CHEXA, CWELD, and CBAR/CBEAM elements. - Seam Welding The structural stress method can be applied to seam welding represented by shell elements. This structural stress method is based on the VOLVO method. It accommodates the type of fillet weld, and in seam welding fatigue analysis based on the VOLVO method, the weld lines (root and toe) are automatically identified.

Detailed information
-
<Analysis> Before starting the execution of the analysis, you can check the settings for the fatigue analysis. After the analysis is complete, you can visualize the contour plot of the number of cycles to damage and failure using the results. A 3D histogram of the damage degree matrix and the rain flow matrix can also be displayed. It is also possible to modify any of the settings from the previous step and run the analysis again for the same shape.

<Material Database> In HyperLife, you can create materials and assign them to components. The built-in library contains material properties related to fatigue. Additionally, you can load materials from your own database or create new materials during a session. It is also possible to adjust materials based on UTS and assign them to components.
-
<Signal Processing> The LoadMap utility allows for easy yet accurate input settings. It can automatically or manually generate durability for pairs of FEA load cases and fatigue load history files. It supports common load history file formats (DAC, RPC, CSV). Simple sine waves and block load sequences can be created with a single click.
