Near the HEPA filter of the air purifier, Klaran WD (a UVC LED for sterilization by Asahi Kasei) and Klaran LE (LE-17A-1V-S1, a UVC LED module for air and surface sterilization by Asahi Kasei) are installed. Daikin Industries, Ltd. has revealed that the air purifier equipped with Klaran (ACB50X-S), released by the company in April 2021, can suppress over 99% of viruses captured by the "antibacterial HEPA filter" within 30 minutes and can suppress bacteria approximately 10 times faster than conventional methods.
