OpenFOAM is widely used for simulations in high-performance computing (HPC), but it is also known for having issues with I/O patterns. To clarify the reasons for this, OpenFOAM was profiled using the I/O profiling tools "Altair Breeze" and "Altair Mistral" on Oracle's bare metal cloud.
