It is a polypropylene foam that has been foamed into a straw (macaroni) shape. This material is highly porous, lightweight, and possesses high strength and toughness. It is a form (block) product with independent bubbles created by filling foam beads into a mold, so the product itself is non-absorbent and retains long-term properties such as processability, drainage, and thermal insulation. The foam itself is very easy to process and can be cut very easily. It can be worked with common woodworking tools or utility knives, allowing for flexible cutting. It has a rigidity (compressive strength) that can withstand a load of 12 tons per cubic meter (short-term), making it suitable for applications where it is buried underground to support the ground. It exhibits excellent drainage performance at any angle and is lighter than mixtures of clean gravel or sand with the same drainage performance, making it easy to bury during construction, thus contributing to shorter construction periods and labor savings. Another significant feature of this porous foam is its excellent sound absorption performance. At frequencies of 500 to 1000 Hz, it has a sound absorption rate of over 50% according to the reverberation room method. It has a proven track record of significantly contributing to noise reduction measures at construction sites.
