The CPS295HW is an analog current output type illuminance sensor that combines a photodiode with spectral sensitivity close to visual sensitivity and a current amplification circuit. By adjusting the brightness of light sources such as displays and controlling ON/OFF based on the illuminance output, it is possible to improve display visibility, extend the lifespan of the light source, and reduce power consumption.
