Applications/Examples of results
Recommended Use BYK-MAX CT 4255 can be used with thermoplastic resins. It is particularly suitable for use with engineering resins such as polyamides and polyesters. Typical applications include automotive parts, barrier packaging, and flame-retardant compounds. Recommended Addition Amount: 3-5% as an additive relative to the total formulation. Addition Method To achieve optimal dispersion and separation of the additive, it is recommended to use a co-rotating twin-screw extruder or BUSS continuous kneader when compounding with thermoplastic compounds. When compounding, it is effective to select an extrusion unit with as long a length as possible (>40L/D) and a screw design with high dispersion performance. To avoid compression of the additive, if possible, add it through side feeding to already molten polymer.
