Okabe Maika Industrial Co., Ltd. has a long-standing track record as a manufacturer of electrical insulators, but we have taken on new challenges in different fields to improve the product characteristics for our customers in the generator manufacturing sector. Currently, we offer a lineup of three types of products: prepreg sheets, tapes, and plates. Until now, our applications have primarily focused on materials designed to protect generators and motors in the heavy electrical field from insulation degradation caused by corona discharge. In the future, we will assist in the design and development of conductive materials tailored to specific applications, not only in the heavy electrical field but also for the protection of electrical equipment subjected to high voltages, addressing static electricity issues in the semiconductor sector, and in the automotive industry, which is shifting towards electric energy. Current Lineup ● Conductive Prepreg Sheets These are prepreg sheet products made from epoxy resin that conform to complex shapes and exhibit conductivity after curing through heat pressing. They can be used in free shapes. The volume resistivity has been proven to be in the range of 10^3 to 10^7 Ω·cm. Additionally, thickness can be adjusted according to application, and hybridization with different materials is also possible. ● Flexible Conductive Tape This is a conductive material in the form of a thin tape. It is ideal for applications where it needs to be wrapped around an object or cut and adhered. The thickness ranges from 0.08 to 0.20 mm, and designs can be tailored to applications with surface resistivity ranging from 10^2 to 10^4 Ω/□. Currently, there are proven tape products based on various substrates and epoxy-polyester and silicone resins. ● Conductive Laminated Plates We are currently developing conductive laminated plates based on glass epoxy. The surface resistivity is in the order of 10^2 to 10^4 Ω/□, and we can accommodate material selection based on application, hybridization through lamination with other materials, and molding to desired shapes. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
