Round shim by wire cutting
This is a large round shim for power transmission devices. The material is A1100, and it has a total of 14 holes processed. This round shim was processed by sandwiching multiple stacked blank materials with thicker steel, reducing vibration during processing caused by the injection of cutting fluid. Additionally, all dimensions are within general tolerances, and it was processed with a single cut around the entire circumference. However, since having only one starting hole on the outer circumference can cause the workpiece to move during processing, we have created two or more starting holes for processing. In wire cutting of aluminum products, if the wire breaks during the process, a film may form on the cut surface, making it impossible to resume processing. Therefore, we take measures such as lowering processing conditions to prevent wire breakage.
