Ectoine is a cyclic amino acid that is abundant in halophilic bacteria (Halomonas elongata) found in deserts and salt lakes in Egypt. Researchers at universities have revealed that one of the reasons this microorganism can thrive under extremely harsh conditions (temperature fluctuations and dry conditions) is largely due to the presence of ectoine. Merck produces ectoine on an industrial scale using biotechnology under the name RonaCare Ectoin. RonaCare Ectoin offers various solutions that combat diverse external stresses on the skin, derived from its origin. ◆ It is stable across a wide range of pH (1-9), temperatures (up to 80°C), light, and oxygen. ◆ It can also be used as an additive in quasi-drugs (for more details, please contact us separately). ◆ COSMOS and ECOCERT certified, GMO-free.
