The guards installed at both ends serve the role of main girders, and it is a pit-less type that does not require a deep pit underground. Concrete ramps are provided in front and behind the scale for truck access. Compared to ultra-thin types, it has a greater height, which results in larger ramps and higher foundation costs, but the wider space allows for easier removal of foreign objects and reduces the risk of flooding.
