A detailed explanation of the components of "non-water-soluble cutting oils" and "water-soluble cutting oils"!
Cutting oils can be broadly classified into "non-water-soluble cutting oils," which are oil-based, and "water-soluble cutting oils," which are diluted with water. The composition of the two types differs significantly. "Non-water-soluble cutting oils" are basically used in their concentrated form, and the oils can be either mineral oils derived from petroleum or animal and vegetable fats. Mineral oils have high thermal stability, while fats excel in lubricity and permeability. Additionally, when heavy machining is performed, sulfur-based extreme pressure additives are added to the concentrated oil. In other words, "non-water-soluble cutting oils" consist of three types of components: mineral oils, fats, and extreme pressure additives, and the ratio of these components is adjusted based on the machining target and content. "Water-soluble cutting oils," on the other hand, are generally used by diluting the concentrated form to an appropriate concentration. They significantly enhance cooling properties with water, but to achieve lubricity based on water, mineral oils and fats are added. Furthermore, surfactants are included to solubilize, emulsify, and enhance permeability of the oil in water, along with rust inhibitors and preservatives to prevent rust and spoilage due to oil-water mixing. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Cool Tech is a manufacturer of devices and cutting oils that improve productivity in metal processing and enhance the environment. Since its establishment in 1983, Cool Tech has contributed to improving the productivity of manufacturing lines, primarily in the construction machinery industry, through its engineering business. However, with the acceleration of overseas relocations of construction machinery manufacturers' production facilities, it became necessary to respond to these environmental changes. Therefore, based on the experience and knowledge gained from previous businesses, we have shifted our business model to develop, manufacture, and sell devices aimed at improving productivity for the metal processing industry. Currently, we offer a range of products that propose solutions to issues related to cutting oils, including water-soluble mist devices, high pH alkaline ion water generators, and dedicated cutting oils. We have received support from numerous customers both domestically and internationally. Utilizing the experience and knowledge cultivated over many years in the engineering business, we will contribute to the development of the metal processing industry through product development that realizes productivity improvements in metal processing and sales through consulting for our customers.
