We are currently using our company's charcoal machine, and we will propose the most suitable modifications for customers considering the conversion of fuel from coal to biomass.
In the coal-fired power plant, we conducted a technical examination considering concerns about material accumulation and transport capacity when using biomass fuel or co-firing with coal in the coal supply machine (coal weighing belt feeder) that you are currently using. This information specifies the modifications we propose when using biomass fuel in the coal supply machine. Please review it, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

basic information
In conventional thermal power plants that have been using coal as fuel, there has been a rapid increase in users planning to use biomass fuel or co-firing with coal due to the recent global trend of CO2 reduction. This trend is further accelerated by the fact that biomass power generation has been certified under the feed-in tariff (FIT) system for renewable energy. Therefore, we would like to propose modifications to the coal feeding machines currently used by our customers to make them compatible with biomass fuel.

Our company was established in 1982 as a 100% subsidiary of the American company Stock, a leading company in the coal handling industry, specializing in the manufacturing of coal feeders (weigh belt conveyors) for coal-fired power plants. The American company Stock, founded by Arthur Stock in 1929, has contributed to the global power industry with its extensive experience and advanced technology since it pioneered the manufacturing and development of weight-controlled coal feeders ahead of its competitors in 1957. In Japan, Stock's coal feeders were imported in 1980 after the oil shock and were introduced for the first time to domestic coal-fired power plants. This delivery record led to a high evaluation of weight-controlled coal feeders, which allow for extremely precise control of coal transport volume, and an increase in new domestic demand. In response, our company achieved the localization of weight-controlled coal feeders in 1983 based on technology provided by Stock. Following the acquisition of Stock by the German company Schenck Process in 2006, our company came under the capital umbrella of Schenck Process and, since 2007, has been the only Schenck Process group company in Japan, starting to handle Schenck Process's powder weighing and feeding machines for the biomass, cement, steel, and non-metal industries.
