Natural disasters such as earthquakes, heavy rains, and typhoons occur every year across Japan. When a disaster strikes, the lifeline that will save your life is communication means. Disaster victims realize how important it is to secure power during emergencies. Therefore, we thought it necessary to ensure that charging can be done sufficiently in nearby locations to respond to large-scale power outages caused by massive earthquakes and typhoons. First, we designed a system that can charge more smartphones in limited indoor spaces while also serving as lighting. Since fossil fuel and gas generators cannot be used in indoor evacuation shelters, we have adopted a portable power source that does not emit carbon monoxide.
