Leak Alert 73 (integrated type) / 65-02 (separated type) is an electrodynamic dust monitor. The electrodynamic type is a high-resolution and high-stability dust monitor (particulate concentration meter) that is less affected by dust adhesion to the probe compared to conventional triboelectric methods or traditional optical detection methods. Generally, during filter cleaning (pulse jet, shaking, backwashing), the exhaust concentration of a typical bag filter temporarily increases. If there is an abnormality in the filter, a rapid concentration increase occurs. By monitoring this rapid concentration increase with a dust monitor (particulate concentration meter), it is possible to detect abnormalities in the filter at an early stage and replace the filter before it completely tears. Additionally, it is possible to identify filters that are experiencing abnormalities from trends, which can help reduce running costs. <Operating Principle> When charged dust particles pass through the probe, the principle of electrostatic induction is applied to detect the movement of charge non-contactly. The friction current generated when particles collide with the probe is cut off, allowing only the alternating response to be detected, which enables high-precision and stable measurements. Leak Alert becomes a relative concentration meter, measuring the change in the concentration of particulate matter in exhaust gas against a pre-set reference value.
