For sample collection, we use our proprietary microbiome collection kit, MySkin Kit, instead of the commonly used swabs. This kit is of the seal type and has the following excellent features: - Microbiome can be easily collected by simply applying the seal to the skin. (Subjects can also collect samples at home.) - The preservation of collected samples is high, and even when stored at room temperature for a week, results equivalent to those stored at 4°C can be obtained, allowing for transportation at room temperature. - The size is consistent, providing better quantitativeness than swabs. (It can monitor relative fluctuations in the microbiome.) - The collection efficiency is equivalent to that of swabs. - We also offer a microbiome collection kit modified for use on the scalp.
