Ti-Growth is the first titanium sponge applicable to artificial joints made with thermal spraying technology. This sponge consists of a series of large, open, interconnected pores arranged within a titanium matrix. The size of the pores and interconnected channels ranges from 100 to 600 microns.

- Ti-Growth improves grip strength at the interface with the host bone. - Ti-Growth can be provided in a thicker layer than conventional coatings, with cohesion and adhesion within applicable standards. The thickness of the coating determines the achievable pore size, volume, and overall predictability of porosity. - Ti-Growth is the simplest option for manufacturing macroporous structures. By applying it through a plasma spray process, overall production volume can be increased, allowing artificial joint manufacturers to set delivery times and overall costs more flexibly. - Ti-Growth coatings are sold in Europe, the United States, and China. They are currently being clinically applied to femoral stems, acetabular cups, CoCr knee joint components, PEEK-based spinal implants, and parts for shoulder and limb reconstruction.
