We will introduce a case study of energy-saving measures that combine automatic damper control for power reduction.
There was a challenge of wanting to eliminate wasted electricity because all hoods are being suctioned without overlapping operations. Therefore, we determined the suction points that can be linked with the hood 'open' and verified the energy-saving effects from the fan performance characteristics based on the correlation between the number of simultaneous suction and the required airflow. From a cost-effectiveness perspective, we considered specific implementation if it was an effective measure. As a result, we were able to reduce unnecessary power loss, and it also became possible to further enhance energy-saving effects by considering combinations with inverters, in addition to damper control.
