A company in Kanagawa Prefecture that stores, manages inventory, and handles import/export of metal pallets has requested a diagnosis because one cell of their battery has completely stopped functioning. The battery was purchased in July 2014 and had operated for 7,100 hours by June 2020 (approximately 4.7 hours per day), indicating quite heavy usage. We proposed to replace the one cell, remove the overall sulfation, and restore the specific gravity to a consistent level. By switching the vehicle's battery to a lithium-ion battery, it can be used for container loading and will last three times longer than a lead battery of the same capacity.
