We can accommodate design adjustments for tilt angles and optical coatings! We also support custom designs for LID shapes.
The "Slanted Window Cap" is a component that joins an optical window using low-melting-point sealing glass to a metal can with an inclined surface. By angling the window, it is possible to suppress the effects of laser light reflecting off the window and re-entering the element (return light). There is an increasing demand for return light suppression not only in laser packages such as VCSELs but also in MEMS packages. Yamamura Photonics proposes slanted products in addition to cap products, including glass LIDs. 【Features】 ■ High airtightness and high reliability ■ Contributes to return light suppression ■ Custom design support *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Since its founding in 1949, we have developed our business based on the glass material technology and glass-to-metal sealing technology (GTMS) cultivated through glass products for vacuum tubes. Building on this accumulated technology, we have also aligned our innovations from vacuum tubes to semiconductors, and as a result of continuously providing various components that respond to the integration of light and electronics, our technology has now borne fruit in three business areas: "glass components for electrical and electronic devices," "optoelectronics packaging components," and "glass ceramics (LTCC)."
