- The surface strength of the paper is improved, enhancing printability. - General drying strength, such as internal strength, is increased. - There is no need for gelatinization; it can be used simply by diluting with water. - The viscosity of the coating liquid is low, making it less likely for jumping or misting to occur during size press coating, allowing for high-speed coating. - It can be mixed with oxidized starch or polyvinyl alcohol in any ratio. - The amount of polymer that dissolves in water when the coated paper is disintegrated is low, resulting in lower COD compared to PVA and starch, and it also produces less foaming.
