An online retail company in the United States that deals with various products is currently making significant investments to expand its logistics and transportation business, aiming to reduce the outsourcing of its logistics management processes. They requested bids from manufacturers for casters to be used on carts for parcels. Each cart required two types of casters. Blickle proposed a solution. In addition to finding the appropriate technical solution, they were looking for a supplier that could quickly provide a large quantity of products and had experience in postal logistics. Blickle's design department developed a special specification "L-ALTH swivel caster" according to the customer's request. The "L-ALTH wheel" used for the casters features a tread shape designed to optimize rolling resistance, with more convex sections than standard wheels. As a result, Blickle's engineers also designed a special directional locking mechanism operated by a cable pull.
