Mr. Toru Kawasaki from Kawasaki Techno Research: Expectations and Material Needs for Next-Generation Displays [30 minutes] When it comes to post-LCD, organic EL and micro LED are representative, but LCD is also expected to continue evolving steadily. In this presentation, we would like to focus on several materials that, while modest, are important in supporting these high-performance displays. 2. Mr. Hiroaki Kitahara from Tech and Biz Co., Ltd.: Development Trends of Technologies and Materials for Next-Generation Displays Mini/Micro LED and QD [45 minutes] The technology and market for displays are heading in a new direction as we enter the 2020s. The key to this is Mini/Micro LED (for direct view and LCD backlight applications) and QD (quantum dots). In this presentation, we will discuss the direction of new display technologies and the potential of the materials that support them. 3. Mr. Kazuhiro Kono from Otsuka Chemical Co., Ltd.: Development of Polymer Materials for Display Components Using Living Radical Polymerization [30 minutes] In this presentation, we will introduce application examples of pigment dispersants and adhesives, focusing on their use in display components. 4.
