■ Reducing Thermal Impact on the Workpiece The drilling of functional films used in various industries and applications, including touch panel displays, has seen increasing demand. However, machining processes have faced challenges such as cracking due to stress, leading to reduced yield rates. On the other hand, non-contact processing with lasers also presents challenges, including measures against thermal impacts like debris at the processing edges, as well as the need to balance processing capacity and quality for mass production. The precision hole drilling laser machine 'TLSM-401' is equipped with a uniquely developed laser optical system that reduces thermal impact at the cutting edges. It has achieved a taper of approximately 5µm when drilling Φ0.2mm holes in PET film. Additionally, it features high processing capacity through high-speed laser scanning technology, enabling processing of 500 holes in just 1.5 seconds.
