Structure of the water storage chamber for a movable object type wave energy conversion device.
We would like to introduce an invention that can efficiently harness energy by moving to wave generation areas.
Inside the frame that partitions the water area established around the movable object, that is, in the water chamber, there exists a horizontal motion component in the movement of the water, which poses a problem where the wave energy conversion device utilizing the vertical movement of the movable object cannot operate smoothly. In this invention, multiple small water chambers are arranged in the lower part of the water chamber where the movable object is floated, thereby regulating the horizontal movement of the seawater in the water chamber, allowing the float to remain stable and buoyant in the vertical direction. Additionally, since no horizontal impact forces act on it, the movable object and its supporting parts can float stably without damage, allowing for the stable and reliable extraction of wave energy through the vertical movement of the movable object. [Research Overview] - This can be implemented not only for breakwaters but also for large floating structures (mega floats) equipped with water chambers on their outer periphery. - In the case of large floating structures shaped like barges, they can be towed to evacuate the movable object-type wave energy conversion device during typhoons and other events. - It can move to wave generation areas to efficiently capture energy. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
