The short residence time as it flows down the evaporation tube enables operation with reduced heating time for the sample. Furthermore, the presence of a cooler inside the evaporator brings the evaporation surface and condensation surface close together, which helps to suppress pressure increases caused by generated vapor, achieving high vacuum and facilitating low boiling.
