basic information
Tokin's pyroelectric sensor utilizes the phenomenon of the pyroelectric effect in ceramics, which occurs when it absorbs infrared radiation emitted by the human body. This allows it to detect the infrared radiation that humans naturally emit. Additionally, since it can detect infrared radiation without the use of lenses, Tokin's pyroelectric sensor is thin and free of protrusions, meeting aesthetic needs as well. Furthermore, this pyroelectric sensor employs Tokin's unique piezoelectric ceramic materials and element structure, enabling close-range detection through glass or resin. As a result, the design of the final product can be more flexible.

The origin of Tokin lies in "materials." Currently, human society is evolving towards a global ubiquitous society due to the advancement of information and communication technology. We believe that our mission is to create key devices that drive this innovation by tracing back to the materials. Based on our unique material development capabilities and high-density device manufacturing power, we aim to create devices that govern the flow of society. With this, we hope to contribute, albeit modestly, to the realization of a vibrant society grounded in advanced information and communication technology.
