The P series has made it possible to accommodate high-cycle molding in under 7 seconds, which was difficult with the conventional supercritical fluid supply device T series. By combining the improved fluidity characteristic of MuCell and the reduction of sink marks and warping typical of foamed molding, we can adopt a design with an unprecedented wall thickness configuration that allows for thinning the container without changing the thickness of the flange, which was challenging with traditional container designs. By adopting this new design, there is potential to achieve over a 30% reduction in plastic usage compared to conventional methods (according to our company's calculations).

The MuCell microcellular foaming injection molding technology developed by Trexel Inc. utilizes high-pressure supercritical nitrogen and carbon dioxide that are directly mixed and dissolved in the molten resin within the cylinder of the molding machine. This mixture is then injected into the mold, taking advantage of the pressure drop to form fine cells of less than 100 micrometers throughout the molded product.
