Attention those considering the use of groundwater and those struggling with groundwater treatment! High concentrations of iron and manganese can also meet the water quality standards of the Water Supply Act! [Raw water quality is also listed in the achievements]
Our company has been manufacturing and selling various screen products for extracting groundwater and riverbed water for water supply facilities, as well as for industrial, agricultural, and fishery purposes for over 40 years. We have accumulated years of know-how regarding groundwater, leading to the development of our water treatment device called "Chemiless." Chemiless utilizes natural processes through a combination of contact oxidation treatment and biological treatment, without the use of chemicals such as oxidants or coagulants, to treat iron, manganese, ammonia nitrogen, and arsenic in groundwater, making it an environmentally friendly and human-friendly water treatment device. **Features of Chemiless** - **No Chemicals Used**: When chemicals are used, costs and labor associated with chemical procurement arise; however, with Chemiless, there are no such costs or labor involved. - **No Need for Media Replacement**: In typical filtration systems, media replacement occurs approximately every three years, but with Chemiless, there is no need for such costs or actions. - **Space-Saving**: Chemiless can complete the treatment process on its own and can achieve high-speed processing of 400m³ per day, allowing for a smaller installation area compared to conventional filtration equipment. - **Low Operating Costs** - **Capable of Handling High Concentrations of Iron, Manganese, and Ammonia Nitrogen**

basic information
Chemless does not use oxidizing agents or coagulants. It processes high concentrations of iron, manganese, and ammonia nitrogen using oxygen supplied from the air through a special mixing nozzle, along with a membrane of iron oxide and manganese oxide that naturally forms in the Chemless layer and the naturally occurring nitrifying bacteria. Since no chemicals are used and there is no need for media replacement, there is no risk of disinfection by-products, and there are no costs for chemicals and their management. Additionally, by not using chemicals, it contributes to the longevity of downstream equipment such as RO membranes, activated carbon, water softeners, and boilers, which can lead to significant long-term reductions in running costs. Chemless can independently treat iron, manganese, and ammonia nitrogen, eliminating the need for groundwater receiving tanks, reaction tanks, and chemical dosing units. Furthermore, with a high processing capacity of LV=400m³/day, it allows for space-saving of the entire treatment facility and a reduction in initial costs. ■ Renovation Examples Example 1) Existing: Groundwater → Chemical Dosing → Reaction Tank → Iron Removal Device → Manganese Removal Device → Water Softener Renovation: Groundwater → Chemless → Water Softener Example 2) Existing: Groundwater → Raw Water Tank → Chemical Dosing → Reaction Tank → Coagulation and Sedimentation → Chemical Dosing → Rapid Filtration Pond Renovation: Groundwater → Chemless

Compared to tap water and iron and manganese removal systems, Chemless can keep running costs low. Please refer to the "Chemless Simple Leaflet" for the running cost comparison table. Additionally, although it is not reflected in the comparison table, it contributes indirectly to reducing the overall running costs of the facility by minimizing the effort and space required to manage chemicals and extending the lifespan of downstream equipment.

The filter media used in Chemiless is made of standard silica sand. A natural coating of iron oxide and manganese oxide forms around each grain of silica sand, which acts as a catalyst to treat iron and manganese using the power of oxygen in the air. Arsenic is also treated using this effect. Additionally, ammonia nitrogen is processed by naturally occurring nitrifying bacteria within the filter layer. The filter media grows larger due to the formation of oxide coatings, but during cleaning, excess material is appropriately peeled off and discharged outside the system, maintaining the filter layer height at the designed value. There is no degradation of the filter media, and it does not require replacement for a semi-permanent period.
