It is possible to measure the transmittance and haze values of transparent objects such as film and acrylic plates online (in-line) with high precision and non-contact.
This device is a system for monitoring the haze value of film sheets on a production line. By adopting a method that receives and calculates light at 0° (parallel light) and nearby diffuse light without using an integrating sphere, it enables highly stable monitoring. 【Non-contact haze value measurement】 Traditionally, measuring haze values required determining the transmittance of diffuse light using an integrating sphere. However, the integrating sphere device necessitates close contact with the sample, making continuous online measurement impossible. Furthermore, in measurements using an integrating sphere, there is a time lag between the 0° measurement and the diffuse light measurement, which can lead to discrepancies in measurement positions for continuously produced samples, resulting in inaccurate values. Additionally, the integrating sphere requires high reflectivity and uniformity, posing maintenance challenges for long-term stability and reproducibility. Therefore, we developed a unique measurement method through years of experience and data accumulation, effectively resolving these issues. 【Installation benefits】 Online haze management for plastics, optical films, and glass Cost savings on sampling Improved productivity through rapid feedback during haze value fluctuations

basic information
This device is a system for monitoring the haze value of film sheets on a production line. It continuously measures and monitors the haze value at up to three points on the film sheet using a combination of D65 light and standard spectral luminous efficiency measurement wavelengths. By adopting a double beam method with excellent long-term stability, a highly reliable monitoring system can be established. Instead of using an integrating sphere for light reception, the system employs a method that receives and calculates light from 0° (parallel light) and nearby diffused light, enabling stable monitoring. 【Specifications】 Number of measurement points: 1 to a maximum of 3 points in the film width direction Measurement wavelength: Approximates a combination of D65 light and standard spectral luminous efficiency Measurement range: 0 to 50% (haze value) Repeatability: 0.1% (standard deviation when measuring haze standard plate H20 continuously for 30 times) Stability: Within ±0.15% (variation range during continuous measurement of haze standard plate H20 for 1 hour) Measurement time: 1 second For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

In 1947, a color research group was established in a corner of Tsukishima, Tokyo, which later became the Color Division of Japan Electronic Measuring Instruments Co., Ltd. The group focused primarily on the production of standard color samples and research and guidance on color adjustment. In November 1956, it became independent and was established as Murakami Color Technology Research Institute, Inc. Since its founding, our company has made the production of measuring instruments related to visual information processing, including "color and gloss," the production of color samples, and the promotion of color management the pillars of our business, and we have been active as a pioneer in the industry. Our market share is extremely high. We will continue to make further efforts for the development of color science and the creation of a prosperous society, and we hope to be of service to everyone.
