Hot forging has low deformation resistance and allows for the creation of complex-shaped parts! Introducing the types of forging.
Although it is generally referred to as "forging," it is actually distinguished by "working temperature" and "deformation method." Hot forging involves heating the material to soften it for forging, resulting in lower deformation resistance and the ability to create complex-shaped parts. Cold forging offers higher forming accuracy than hot forging and can reduce machining processes in subsequent steps. Additionally, free forging involves setting the workpiece in a jig and shaping it with a hammer or similar tool. It requires skilled techniques and is suitable for small-scale production, while die forging uses forging molds and is suited for mass production. [Classification by Working Temperature] ■ Cold Forging: Forging without heating the material at all (at room temperature) ■ Warm Forging: Forging with the material heated to approximately 600°C to 850°C ■ Hot Forging: Forging with the material heated to approximately 1,200°C *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
