Proposal to replace with a spring vibration isolation device! Introducing examples of measures against solid noise from air conditioner outdoor units.
We will introduce a case study on measures to address solid noise (noise) from air conditioning outdoor units. An air conditioning outdoor unit installed on the rooftop of an office building was generating solid noise on the floor directly below when it entered defrost mode. Although the outdoor unit was equipped with rubber pads for vibration isolation, the vibration isolation performance of the rubber pads was minimal, allowing the vibrations from the outdoor unit to propagate to the building structure and cause solid noise on the floor below. As a countermeasure, we proposed replacing it with a spring vibration isolation device. [Case Overview] - Key Point of the Countermeasure: Issues arise during special operation - Cause: Solid noise occurs because the compressor speed built into the outdoor unit increases during defrost mode - Countermeasure: Replacement with a spring vibration isolation device *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
