Visualizing the interior of cured extruded products! Early detection of internal defects allows for a reduction in the time needed for condition adjustments.
We would like to introduce a case study of the "X-ray tomography device" manufactured by RF Corporation. Traditionally, internal defects (such as voids and cracks) in round bars and thick plates (resin materials for machining) could not be judged from the exterior, and internal verification was performed by machining. By irradiating the object with X-rays (radiation) and detecting the X-rays that have passed through, it became possible to verify internal defects non-destructively. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - Internal defects could not be judged from the exterior, and internal verification was performed through machining. - The extrusion speed of solidified extrudates was very slow, requiring a lot of time to discover defects. ■Results - It became possible to verify internal defects non-destructively. - Internal defects could be discovered early, reducing the time until condition adjustments. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Company information
Since its founding in 1960, we have started with "PC (polycarbonate) pipes" as our core business as an engineering plastic extrusion manufacturer, and have developed various engineering plastic pipes. In 1974, we successfully commercialized "PET (polyester heat shrink tubing): Tele-tube." Furthermore, we continue to evolve by adding super engineering plastics such as "PEEK, PES, PI, PSU, and PPS" to our lineup. We are deepening our technologies in "profile extrusion," "solidification extrusion," and "multicolor extrusion," which we have cultivated over half a century, and we are committed to advancing each day, with a strong sense of progress that tomorrow will be better than today, and the day after tomorrow will be better than tomorrow, as we challenge ourselves together as a united team.
