The 3656A / B / D vector network analyzer can be applied in fields such as wireless communication, cable TV, education, and automotive electronics. It can be used for performance measurement of RF components such as filters, amplifiers, antennas, cables, and cable TV subconnectors. It adopts the Windows operating system and is equipped with features for error calibration, time domain, and fixture simulation. It supports multiple display formats including logarithmic amplitude, linear amplitude, standing wave, phase, group delay, Smith chart, and polar coordinates. It offers multiple calibration types such as frequency response, single port, response separation, extended response, full dual port, fast SOLT calibration, and electrical calibration. Multi-channel and multi-window display capabilities are available. It is designed with USB interface, LAN interface, GPIB interface, and VGA interface. With efficient and powerful error correction capabilities, it can quickly and accurately measure the amplitude, phase, and group delay characteristics of DUT S-parameters.

With a single connection, it can test all 16S parameters of a 4-port network, making it highly suitable for mass production testing of multi-port devices in factories. It has balanced parameter testing capabilities. After full 3-port or full 4-port calibration using three or four test ports, you can select the corresponding operating mode (single-port balanced network, single-port to single-port balanced network, balanced balanced network), and then obtain the mixed S-parameters of the balanced device. Note: For the 4-port option of the 3656A/B, an external device 2813A is required.
