Polishing of carbon materials with short cycle times and high-quality finishing through automation.
FerRobotics ACF-K
High-speed autonomous correction of contact force, with autonomous correction of gravitational load as well. This enables an increase in robot trajectory speed and allows for high-quality, stable automatic polishing with uniform force from any angle.
FerRobotics' Active Compliant Technology automatically corrects the "difference" in contact pressure (force) that occurs during processing in polishing and grinding operations, which require skilled techniques, against dimensional tolerances, curved shapes, and non-planar surfaces, at high speed. It also automatically adjusts for gravitational loads, allowing for consistent polishing/grinding with a set contact force. This technology increases the speed at which devices and robots can move along their trajectories, thereby enhancing processing speed and improving cycle times. Additionally, in robotic polishing and grinding, the ability to control the contact pressure through the expansion and contraction of the ACF itself means that there is no need to move the heavy robot arm for corrections, further assisting in improving the processing speed of robotic polishing. Moreover, since it automatically corrects tool loads due to gravity, which varies with the angle of the robot, it maintains a uniform contact pressure from any angle, enabling a finish without processing inconsistencies. Seeing is believing! Please check our website or YouTube (FerRobotics) for example application videos.

By utilizing our patented technology, Active Compliant Technology (ACT), in end effectors, we provide the best solutions for robotic polishing and robotic grinding, equipping industrial robots with tactile feedback and enabling greater flexibility, reliability, and profitability in manufacturing environments than ever before. The ACT, optimized for robots, automatically measures the necessary pressing force, instantly compensates for complex surface shapes, and allows for consistent processing with a fixed pressing force. It also responds to sudden opposing forces, such as when the target workpiece moves. As a standard tool and as a custom package product tailored to special requirements, ACT clearly contributes to efficiency improvements in production processes that have previously been impossible to automate. By confirming the performance of our ACT solutions, you will immediately feel the results. It brings overwhelming effectiveness to automated polishing and grinding (polishing, sanding, grinding, deburring, buffing, mirror finishing, etc.).
