With the TRS100, it is possible to easily and quickly conduct full analysis of tablets and capsules, as well as polymorphic analysis in drug quality control tests. Agilent's Transmission Raman Spectroscopy (TRS) technology is easier to implement than other spectroscopic analysis methods, making the development and deployment of methods for QC applications straightforward. The TRS100 system can reduce the time required for content uniformity tests (CU), assays, and identification tests to just a few minutes per batch, significantly lowering costs and speeding up QC workflows. The tray of the TRS100 system can hold up to 300 coated tablets or capsules, and several dozen glass vials or powder samples. Sample preparation and consumables are not required, allowing it to be operated by personnel who are not highly skilled in analysis. The CU testing method using Transmission Raman has received approval from regulatory authorities that use ICH and regulatory protocols.
