The time required for mold production has also been shortened! We were able to reduce costs and shorten delivery times!
This is a case study of a heat sink designed using sheet metal. While many heat sinks are made from machined blocks, this was a prototype request utilizing sheet metal processing to achieve weight reduction. The product features 14 mountain bends, and for the mountain sections, we created two sets of simple molds (forming mold + finishing mold) in-house and pressed them. Even the slight warping that occurs at the end was adjusted one by one by hand while measuring with inspection equipment, allowing us to meet the challenging overall length tolerance of ±0.3, which is difficult to achieve with continuous bending. The simple molds were developed based on a database of accumulated plastic processing data, calculating the unfolding length and material elongation rate, with all processes from design to production handled in-house. This also shortened the time required for mold production, ultimately reducing costs and shortening delivery times. 【Overview】 ■Material: A1050 ■Size: 47×126×21mm ■Thickness: t1.0 ■Accuracy: ±0.2 ■Quantity: 10 ■Delivery time: 10 days *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

basic information
**Features** - There are 14 bends, and the mountain parts are pressed using two sets of simple molds made in-house. - Since even a slight error in pitch accumulates and eventually leads to significant misalignment, managing the dimensions between pitches is crucial. - Any slight warping that occurs at the end is measured with inspection equipment and adjusted manually one by one. - It is possible to satisfy a challenging overall length tolerance of ±0.3 in continuous bending. - The simple molds are developed based on a database of accumulated plastic processing data, calculating factors such as unfolding length and material elongation rate, with all design and production handled in-house. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*
