basic information
1. High Free Volume Design: The Process 16 extruder features a barrel with a diameter of 16mm and a screw design with a large free volume, allowing for easy and complete processing of low-density materials, large pellets, or flakes. It is also useful for processing materials that are sensitive to shear. 2. Intuitive Operation: The main unit and all connected feeders can be easily operated using a highly visible and user-friendly touch screen panel integrated into the device. 3. Flexible Access to the Barrel Interior: Easy access to the interior of the barrel during process downtime allows for optimization of the extrusion process. Cleaning is also very simple. 4. Flexible Material Supply: By utilizing multiple barrel ports and side feeds, solid and liquid materials entering the extruder can be accurately measured. It accommodates various flow characteristics of solids (powders, pellets, fibers, etc.) and liquids. 5. Flexible Barrel Configuration: Each segment can be individually heated or cooled, allowing for extremely precise application of the optimal temperature profile for the process.
