basic information
■Features and Strengths - Achieved a high-resistance transparent conductive film of over 1 kΩ/sq without using organic materials Geomatec has increased the resistance of transparent conductive films, which were traditionally low-resistance, by utilizing its expertise in thin film material development and its world-class sputtering deposition technology, all without the use of organic materials. - Ensured superior durability compared to high-resistance transparent conductive films made by coating methods Geomatec has addressed reliability issues such as surface hardness and heat resistance, which were areas for improvement in conventional transparent conductive films made using organic materials, through its unique technology using inorganic materials and sputtering methods. - Ability to freely control sheet resistance values Sheet resistance values can be controlled in the range of 1 kΩ/sq to 1 TΩ/sq. Additionally, even with high resistance, the transparency (transmittance) required for transparent conductive films is adequately maintained.

Applications/Examples of results
- In-cell liquid crystal touch panel display By using a high-resistance transparent conductive film that does not contain organic materials to create an in-cell liquid crystal touch panel display, it is possible to achieve both a thinner device and smooth touch sensor functionality. - Transparent heater for small areas such as miniature cameras This is suitable for products that need to be heated while maintaining transparency, such as the lenses of miniature cameras. Even in small areas, the transparent heater function can prevent condensation and freezing while keeping visibility clear. (*For example, to raise the temperature by 30°C in a 100mm square area at a usage voltage of 48V, a resistance value of the transparent conductive film of a few hundred Ω/sq is sufficient, but to raise the temperature by 30°C in a tiny 5mm square area at the same voltage, a resistance value of several hundred kΩ/sq is required.)
