"Glass beads" are spherical glass particles used as sandblasting media (abrasives and projectiles). Due to their spherical shape, they feature minimal grinding of the workpiece's surface and low contamination of the workpiece. This allows for sandblasting treatment without compromising the dimensional accuracy of the workpiece. The finish achieved through sandblasting is very unique, resulting in a slightly glossy, frosted (matte) appearance. Additionally, "glass powder" consists of irregular glass particles and has slightly more grinding power compared to "glass beads."
