[Proposal Example] Straight bevel gear to zero bevel gear
Year by year, there have been demands for quality improvement from end users. In mechanisms using straight bevel gears, there were significant noise and vibration issues that adversely affected the processed products. Due to the characteristics of the processing machine, straight bevel gears can only undergo finishing processes before heat treatment, which led to variations in quality due to heat treatment distortion, making quality improvement difficult. In response, our company proposed zero bevel gears that can undergo finishing grinding after heat treatment, implementing quality improvements through gear grinding specifications. Noise and vibration were significantly improved as well. Additionally, unlike spiral bevel gears, the twist angle is 0 degrees, so there was no need to change surrounding designs such as bearings. This resulted in reduced assembly work and improved end-user satisfaction, which was greatly appreciated.
