In addition to VOC testing, we support various tests such as odor testing, haze testing, and combustibility testing!
The Tokai Technology Center, a general incorporated foundation, conducts "performance evaluation tests for automotive interior materials" and "chemical substance emission tests from office equipment such as printers." Among automotive interior materials, we measure substances that are considered to cause irritation to the nose and throat, such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and toluene, through "VOC tests," as well as various other tests including "odor tests," "haze tests," and "flammability tests." Additionally, we received certification for the Blue Angel mark, an eco-label system introduced in Germany, from BAM in October 2012. **Features of VOC Testing** - We have introduced a large temperature-controlled chamber that can measure large parts as they are. - Console panels and seats can be measured in their original form. - The target components for measurement vary depending on the client. - Methods using high-performance liquid chromatography. - Methods using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

basic information
【Implementation Tests (Partial)】 ■ VOC Test - Measurement of substances such as formaldehyde, which are considered to cause irritation to the nose and throat, from automotive interior materials. ■ Odor Test - Testing and evaluation of odors emitted from non-ferrous metal materials used in the vehicle cabin through olfactory senses. - Estimation of odor components (including volatile components) using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. ■ Haze Test - Testing the phenomenon where volatile components emitted from additives and adhesives in automotive interior materials and building interior materials adhere to glass surfaces due to temperature differences, obstructing visibility. - Measurement of the haze level of glass plates obtained from haze-promoting test equipment (Method A or Method B). ■ Combustibility Test - Evaluation of the combustibility of non-ferrous metal materials used in the vehicle cabin. - Fixing test specimens of the material to a U-shaped mounting fixture, exposing the ends of the specimens to a specified flame for 15 seconds, and measuring the combustion rate. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The Tokai Technical Center (TTC), a general incorporated foundation, was established in 1971 as a measurement and analysis institution for the prevention of industrial pollution. Currently, it provides services in three main areas: "Environmental surveys and measurements" "Chemical analysis and quality testing of industrial products and materials" "Quality testing of civil engineering and construction materials" Centered in the Tokai region, including Aichi, Mie, and Gifu prefectures, particularly around Nagoya, it has grown as a core institution for environmental conservation and product quality management. In addition to contributing to the local community, it now receives inquiries from across the country and responds to customer consultations and requests.
