Measure the current situation with a 3D laser scanner and create a CAD model with Infipoints!
InfiPoints is point cloud data utilization software that merges the real conditions of the field with virtual spaces on a computer. It offers stress-free operability even with point cloud data measured by 3D scanners, consisting of billions of points and tens of gigabytes. InfiPoints automatically extracts cylinders and planes from point clouds, enabling modeling of piping, ducts, and steel materials. It also features the ability to automatically extract shapes such as planes and cylinders from point cloud data measured by mobile 3D laser scanners, including MMS, push-type, handheld, and backpack types, and is compatible with point cloud data created from images captured by drones using SfM (Structure from Motion) technology.

Detailed information
-
The feature that has garnered the highest interest from users involved in the renewal construction of plants, etc., is the piping modeling function of InfiPoints. By automatically extracting cylindrical shapes from point cloud data, it enables the rapid CAD modeling of piping. In the cylindrical extraction process, measurements taken with stationary 3D laser scanners inevitably create blind spots where the laser cannot reach, resulting in the acquisition of point clouds typically covering only a portion of the pipe's circumference (about 120 to 180 degrees). However, even from such incomplete data, InfiPoints can automatically recognize the shapes of simple cylindrical straight pipes, as well as more complex joint shapes like elbows, flanges, and tees, based on the distribution characteristics of the point cloud.
-
In addition to the CAD modeling function for piping, it is also possible to model equipment using the automatic plane extraction function from point cloud data, as well as modeling steel materials such as H-beams on InfiPoints.

Currently, many companies are implementing BIM software as the standard infrastructure within their organizations. In such companies, by transferring the data of piping and steel materials modeled in CAD using point cloud processing software to BIM, it becomes possible to apply the data utilization process used in new construction projects to renovation construction projects as well. InfiPoints supports data output in IFC, which is one of the commonly used data formats as an intermediate format for BIM. By outputting the highly versatile IFC, CAD models created with InfiPoints can be transferred to various BIM software.

You can conduct a pre-simulation of the machines for moving in and out. You can plan the pathways and check for interference in advance during the movement.

A reduction of more than 50% in man-hours is expected compared to conventional work. According to measurement data, automatic extraction of piping can be performed at about 60-70%. Significant time savings are achieved. The simulation of equipment transportation in and out can be confirmed in advance. It can be output to CAD software such as Rebro and Revit. It contributes to work style reform.
Company information
NT Geotex Co., Ltd. is a company that proposes a total solution for BIM, CIM, architecture, civil engineering, equipment, surveying, and 3D measurement as a special agent for Nikon and Trimble. We support not only the sale of surveying and measuring equipment but also provide proposals considering our customers' operations and follow-up services on behalf of the manufacturers. In the recent construction industry, technologies such as AR and MR, which were not common a few years ago, have been adopted, and we feel the rapid changes in the times. We are also working daily to adapt to such changes. We aim to be a partner company that continuously excites our customers and is chosen by various clients across different industries, flexibly responding to challenges faced by the construction industry, such as "labor shortages," "aging," and "efficiency of work," as well as the introduction of new technologies necessary for solving these issues.
