It is a carboxylic anhydride monomer with higher polymerizability and high reactivity towards amines than the existing 1,4,5,8-NTCDA.
The polyimide film obtained from 2,3,6,7-Naphthalene Tetracarboxylic Acid 2,3:6,7-Dianhydride (2,3,6,7-NTCDA) has been reported to exhibit a glass transition temperature exceeding 400°C and a low thermal expansion coefficient due to its rigid structure.
