Introducing the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, which enshrines the cherry blossom goddess, Konohanasakuya-hime, and has adopted "electrode-less lamps." The "electrode-less lamp," which is gaining attention as a third option to replace mercury lamps with LEDs, consumes less than half the power and electricity costs of mercury lamps. Unlike traditional light bulbs with filament structures, it has a completely different light-emitting principle and, due to the absence of electrodes, features a long lifespan and gentle brightness. At the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, the replacement from mercury lamps to electrode-less lamps has resulted in a much-improved atmosphere, and the chief priest expressed gratitude for the gentle light, which has received high praise from visitors.
