Here is an example of achieving simplification of the mechanism and space-saving by substituting with an "O-ring"!
We received a request to develop a fixture that can resolve fitting issues and also confirm the quality of the fit. Here, we introduce a case where we created a "Plastic Parts Assembly Inspection Fixture." The customer was facing difficulties because, during manual assembly, there were oversights regarding the quality of the fit at multiple insertion points, resulting in products flowing to the next process with fitting issues. In response, we developed a device for assembly after temporarily assembling two plastic parts and for confirming the quality of the fit after assembly. The resolution of fitting issues was achieved through a structure that presses a push rod against the insertion points. [Case Overview] ■ Customer's Challenge: Products flow to the next process with fitting issues, causing problems. ■ Customer's Request: To resolve fitting issues and create a fixture that can also confirm the quality of the fit. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Technical Innovations】 - To resolve misalignment issues, a structure was designed where the push rod is pressed against the fitting part. - To prevent product deformation and distribute force, the push rod was designed to simultaneously contact multiple fitting points. - To confirm the quality of the fit, it was necessary to detect minute errors, so a structure using a photo-micro switch was implemented. - A ratio-type linkage mechanism was used to detect misalignment, which results in minute errors, with the photo-micro switch. - While a mechanism with elastic force, such as a spring, is necessary to secure the original position of the linkage mechanism, using an "O-ring" allowed for simplification of the mechanism and space-saving. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
