The "Dimension Measurement System" analyzes images captured by a camera to measure the dimensions of objects. It registers measurement methods and measurement points as standards (values) in advance, allowing for instant dimension measurement while reducing measurement errors caused by manual work. As for the measurement image and principle, it first detects the boundaries of objects in the image. From the detected edges, it performs approximation processing for various shapes and measures dimensions through various geometric calculations.
